L’entitat francesa “François Sommer Foundation“, sòcia del projecte LIFE ENPLC en què participa la XCN, organitza una jornada presencial i en línia per donar a conèixer els “conservation easements”, una eina de conservació a l’abast de persones propietàries i entitats de conservació de la natura.
Amb les “servituds de conservació”, els propietaris prenen el control del futur dels seus espais naturals. Els permet actuar de manera voluntària per protegir la natura. Com? Mitjançant la imposició d’obligacions ambientals vinculades a l’immoble, per un període de fins a 99 anys.
El marc legal és ampli, però l’objectiu és clar: mantenir, conservar, gestionar o restaurar la diversitat biològica. Per exemple, mantenir i millorar la qualitat de l’aigua, perpetuar i fomentar el creixement de boscos saludables, mantenir i millorar l’hàbitat de la vida salvatge i els corredors de migració o protegir el paisatge.

- Marie-Hélène and Christian Tanguy, owners of the Ferme de la Maison Neuve and signatories of an ORE (La Ferrière, Vendée).

To conclude, Romain Melot, director of research at INRAE and Guillaume Pain, teacher-researcher at ESA, will present the LANDEV multidisciplinary research project.
